Homestead Free Blog Sites

Hey there,

Creating a blog is soooooooooo, simple, free and easy to set up!

Homestead doesn't have a free blog site creating tool yet but that's fine,
you'll just need to point the page to the blog address you create.

I made "this" blog with Blogger.com (a Google product).
It's supper easy and you can have your first blog up in about 10 min. (if that)

• You first choose the name you want (click to see if it's available)
• Chooses the style template you want
  
• and your ready to make your first post

For example:

I wanted Homestead Sitebuilder Tips it was available and now the link that it created looks like this http://homesteadsitebuildertips.blogspot.com/ (blogspot & blogger are one in the same)


Pointing to your new blog is easy with a Homestead website made with Sitebuilder,

Just highlight the text to create a link:





And then past the link to your new blog in the following window:




That is unless of course you're using the navigation tool as a menu option,
then...

Open the navigation editor.




Click the link tab.



Go through step one:



Now if you should be building a website with Homestead but wanting to registering a domain name elsewhere; say at GoDaddy (after all, it is about $15 a year cheaper),

Homestead Sitebuilder Marketing Tips

This is my first post here, so I guess I'll start with a little background.

I've been a landscaper - rain gutter guy for about the last 15 years and I came on with Homestead to build the website I use for my local home business, but the only hits (or traffic) I was getting was from a business card or flier.

I then realized, that my web space (or Virtual Real Estate) can be as valuable or even more valuable as land Real Estate can be.

I mean think about it, for a brick and mortar businesses, stores & restaurants etc. It's all about location, location, location, with a website it's really no different you need to have traffic, traffic, traffic.

It's nice to have a pretty website for show and tell, but lets face it... we need our phone to ring, sales to be made, lists to be built and so on.

It's kinda like having different income streams, I'm already passing out cards and fliers, running ads in papers but what if you could have a "Lazar focused lead source" - on auto pilot for FREE for your target audience?

You might be saying, Is that possible? My answer, ABSOLUTELY!

I FINALLY figured out a really cool way to literally DOMINATE the front page Google for some of the most popular keyword phrases I use for my niche and it can work for you too.
